Introduction
We've launched our Table Layout feature for the Android platform!
To allow our Android users to place orders by table number and the number of consumers per table by using Table Layout, as well as customize the Table Layout for your Registers, based on the actual restaurant floor plans.
This feature is rolled out in 2 phases. The current Phase 1 is now live, with Phase 2 coming soon!
Here's a list of available sub-functions for Table Layout:
i. Create Multiple Floor/Section Layouts
ii. Customize Layout Name
iii. Adjust Table Size & Table Position within Floor Layout
iv. Duplicate Table Shape
v. Rename Table
vi. Set Number of Pax for Table
vii. Delete Table

Table Layout for Android
1. Update notes
The Table Layout at BackOffice > Settings > Stores does not serve any function in Phase 1.
The Table Layout in the BackOffice is not synced with the Table Layout created on the Android Register. Note: All settings for Table Layout need to be done on the Android Register.
You can also move consumers between tables in the Android Table Layout.
There will be no changes to Table Layout’s functionality for iPadOS when Table Layout for Android is launched.
2. Setting Up
a) Enable Table Layout
Step 1.
At BackOffice > Settings > iPad Registers > Select ‘Yes’ at Enable Table Layout > Click ‘Save’.
Step 2.
Ensure Table Layout feature is enabled at Register.
Step 3.
At Android Register > StoreHub POS app > Click ‘Sync’.
b) Creating a Table Layout
Step 1.
Add floor and key in the floor name.
Step 2.
Add tables and input the table number & number of pax for each table.
Step 3.
Save Layout.
c) Moving Tables
Step 1.
Select the table to move.
Step 2.
Select ‘Change Table’.
Step 3.
Select the new table and click ‘Confirm’.
3. Using the Table Layout
Let's run through a scenario with the steps needed to use Table Layout successfully.
Step 1.
On your Android Register, go to your main layout page.
Step 2.
Choose the table of the desired floor (if you have more than one floor).
Step 3.
Select the number of people (pax) dining at the table.
Step 4.
You can add items and enter a custom amount. Proceed to check out as usual!
