The ability to run this promotion means you can create a higher discount value to attract new customers, while making sure you don't continue to spend too much on existing customers. This is a good strategy for acquiring new customers and should be an ongoing promotion to have as part of a strategy to acquire new customers.
Note: This feature is only available on Beep and Online Store. Your customers will be asked to login if they want to use a promo code on Beep or Online Store. This is for the system to verify the eligibility of the customer.
How to set up promotions for first time customers?
1. This 'first-time customer' promotion is only available on Beep at the moment. Supported promotion types are:
- Percentage discount
- Free shipping
2. Promotions can only be activated via promo code on Beep. Please make sure you set a promo code for this promotion.
3. Under the 'Customer Eligibility' section, choose 'Specific groups of customer (by tags, first time customers, etc)', and select your target group.
|First time customers on registers (offline)||Any customers who do not have any transaction records from your Register (offline)|
|First time customers on Beep||Any customers who do not have any transaction records from Beep channel|
Promotion for new customers who have not shopped in your physical store or Beep:
To run a promotion targeting this segment of customers, you should select both 'First time customers on register (offline)' and 'First time customers on Beep'.
Promotion to convert existing customers who already shop in your physical store but have not shopped on Beep (or Online Store) yet:
To run a promotion targeting this segment of customers, you should select only 'First time customers on Beep' (or "First time customers on Online Store').
- If a transaction is placed via online store with offline payment, the transaction is not considered as 'Completed' until it's marked as 'Paid'. As a result, a customer can place multiple transaction using a 'first time customer' promotion as long as there's no 'completed' transaction under this customer yet.
