Introduction
This guide will cover how to set up the Bluetooth Socket Mobile Scanner (S700).
Setting Up Bluetooth Socket Mobile Scanner S700
Step 1.
Press the power button to turn on the device.
Step 2.
Wait for the Bluetooth light (blue) to start blinking. Do NOT pair with the iPad yet.
Switching Modes
The Scanner needs to be in MFi-SPP mode for it to work properly on iOS. You do not need to turn off or reset the device to switch between modes.
You just need to unpair/forget the device from the iPad or PC you are connected to, and scan the corresponding barcode to change modes, then pair the device back to the corresponding iPad or PC.
Pairing the iPad with the Scanner
Step 1.
Go to your iPad > Settings > Bluetooth > ensure Bluetooth is turned ON.
Step 2.
Ensure the light is blinking before pairing.
Step 3.
Look for 'Socket S700' and tap on it. It should say it is 'Connected'.
Step 4.
Open the StoreHub app and do a test scan on a barcode.
Reset Code
If you need to reset the scanner, scan the code below (when the device is NOT connected to an iPad or PC). After scanning the reset code, the scanner will play a sound and turn off.
Power the scanner on for the reset to complete.
