Introduction
Our BackOffice Reports have some new updates which you'll sure find useful! With Reports 2.0 bringing you new and more powerful features, your reports will now be updated every ~20 minutes instead of in real-time.
Why are my reports not updated in real-time anymore?
Reports 2.0 is more complex in the backend as compared to Reports 1.0, and the process to effectively update your data will now take up to 20 minutes. This will not affect your day-to-day operations. This longer update time means that you can now use these awesome features:
- Multi-store filters
- Group by stores/time options
- Usage of multiple filters at once
- Higher flexibility in viewing data and reports
Will my transactions and inventory still be updated in real-time?
Yes, everything in your BackOffice except for your reports will still be updated in real-time.
BackOffice Reports 2.0
Here's what's new:
1. Sales Report Dashboard
i) Sales over time
ii) Sales by Products
iii) Sales by Category
iv) Sales by Variants
v) Sales by Product SKU
vi) Sales by Employees
vii) Sales by Transaction Channel
viii) Sales by Payment Method
2. Customization Options
a) Date Picker
b) Filters
c) Group By
1. Sales Report Dashboard
The Sales dropdown looks different, although there are no changes made to the 'Shifts' report.
Before, you could only view Daily Sales and Hourly Sales. You can still do that, by clicking 'View By' on the top left.
For now, only this report has a Trend line.
The product name is based on the parent products.
E.g. if there is a T-Shirt with 3 colors and 3 sizes, it would be shown as a single product here.iii) Sales by Category
This shows the sales report by category iv) Sales by Variants
You can use this to determine which variants sell better than others.
E.g. retailers can find out what sizes sell the most or what colors are more popular. F&B owners can find out which sides sell the most, if they have common sides across multiple dishes.
Using this information, you can then determine the colours / sizes / ingredients to stock up on.v) Sales by Product SKU
The Product SKU is NOT the SKU number, but rather the Product Name + the variable.
Example:
Product Name: 2 Straps Flip Flop
Variant colour: Green
Variant size: 36
Product SKU = 2 Straps Flip Flop (Green/36)
Shows sales obtained by respective employees (useful for determining who your top performers are & for commission calculations).
vii) Sales by Transaction Channel
Offline: this means in-store.
Beep: this means Beep Order & Beep Delivery.
This shows sales paid via different types of payment method including e-wallets.
If you (as the merchant) have Beep, it will also show the different payment methods used by your customers in Beep.
2. Customization Options
Let's explore the customizations you can do with these new reports.
All sales report can be filtered based on dates.
By default, the dates will show month to date.
If you would like to edit this, simply click on the dates located on the top right.
You can select 'By period / Custom dates'.
E.g., currently it is year 2020. So, you can only access data of year 2019 and 2020.
Our system will only store sales data for 2 years. Cancelled transactions will not be included in the report. Refunded transactions will be included in the report.
If you would like to get your store's sales data before 2019, please contact our StoreHub Care agents via the live chat function in your BackOffice.
You can now filter the sales report based on these following attributes. However, there will be a predefined list of attributes for each report.
More than 1 filter can be applied for the same report.
Select the Field name, determine the condition to be 'is / is not', and then key in the Field Value.
Example:
If you would like to find out how many Dress (Category) that your store Heaven Within You (Store Name) sold, manage your filters as below:
From this report, you will see that you had the highest sales on 21st May.
Maybe it was because you ran a special Raya dress promotion for the last minute shoppers before Hari Raya & your promotion was very effective:
You can now Group certain variables together to view the report. However, there will be a predefined list of variables for each report.
More than 1 variable can be applied for the same report.
Example:
If you would like to find out what are the peak hours in all your stores, manage your group by variables as below:
From this report, you will see the peak hour in your store is between 2pm - 3pm. You can run promotions outside of these hours to encourage sales:
If you have the StoreHub Manager app, you'll still be able to access your reports.
