Introduction
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic.
Follow these steps to set up Google Analytics on your StoreHub Ecommerce Online Store:
Basic Setup (Minimum requirements):
1. Get a Google Account
A Google account is required to use Google Analytics. If you already use Google products, such as Gmail or Google Ads, the same account can be used for Google Analytics.
If you don't yet have an account for a Google product, please create a Google account here.
After you have a Google account, continue to Part 2 - Set up Google Analytics.
2. Set up Google Analytics
After following the steps previously (to create a new Google Analytics account for your Ecommerce store), read on for the next steps.
Step 1.
In a web browser, open Google Analytics.
Step 2.
Sign in with your Google account. You also have the option to choose other Google accounts you want to sign in with.
Step 3.
IF you have not used Google Analytics with the Google Account, click Sign up as below:
IF you have used Google Analytics before with the Google Account on Step 2, click ADMIN as below:
Next, click on + Create Account:
Step 4.
Choose 'Website' and fill in the required information.
Use your primary domain for the Website URL:
Step 5.
Click 'Get Tracking ID' found at the bottom of the page.
Step 6.
Use the drop-down menu to select your country if it is not already selected, then click I Accept to acknowledge that you have read the terms of service.
On the next page, you'll see a lot of information and options. The only thing you need is the Tracking ID.
Copy the Tracking ID to your clipboard by highlighting it and pressing CTRL + C on PC or Command + C on Mac:
Step 7.
In a new browser window or tab, go to your StoreHub BackOffice.
Step 8.
Go to Online Store > Store Setup > Tracking.
Step 9.
In the Google Analytics ID section, paste your Tracking ID in the Google Analytics ID field:
Step 10.
Click Save.
