Introduction
If you prefer to use your own domain rather than using the default 'storehub.me' domain, do refer to our guides below on setting up your own custom domain.
What's in this article:
a) Set up a custom domain with StoreHub
b) Add the domain to your StoreHub Online Store
Part 1.
Set up a custom domain with StoreHub
Note: These are general guidelines for the most common third-party domain providers. Each custom domain provider would have more specific steps. If you're unable to find instructions for your provider, then you can follow this general guide to connect your current domain to StoreHub.
Here are the steps to get started:
Step 1.
Go to your account which you bought from your domain provider and log in.
Step 2.
Find the section on DNS in the Settings, or the main Domain Management settings (or equivalent).
Step 3.
Look for the CNAME in your DNS settings and change your www CNAME record to point to xxx.storehub.me (where xxx is your StoreHub store name). Normally, you would provide the prefix only without the dot, but some domain providers require the whole subdomain. Use the existing entries as a guide, or follow your provider's instructions. CNAME records must always point to a domain name, never to an IP address.

Connect a Subdomain
A subdomain is a subset for your root domain to be used as a prefix. For example, in the URL shop.johnlouis.com, the subdomain is 'shop'. The most popular subdomain is 'www'.
You can use subdomains to organise your website and make it easier for visitors to find the information they're looking for.
Step 1.
Log in to the account you have with your domain provider.
Step 2.
Find your DNS settings. Look for your domain management area, DNS configuration, or similar.
Step 3.
Find the CNAME record in your DNS settings.
Step 4.
Change your subdomain CNAME record to point to xxx.storehub.me
For example, if you want your subdomain shop.johnlouis.com to point to your StoreHub Online Store, then change your CNAME record to point to your StoreHub Online Store site (xxx.storehub.me).
Step 5.
Save the CNAME Record (usually by clicking Save or Add record or similar).
Step 6.
From your BackOffice, click Online Store, Store Setup then click Domain.
Step 7.
Connect your existing domain.
Step 8.
Enter your subdomain in the text field (for example, shop.johnlouis.com).
Step 9.
Click Next.
Part 2.
Add the domain to your StoreHub Online Store
Step 1:
In your BackOffice, head to Online Store > Store Setup > Domains.

Step 3:
When you do that, you'll see the status. Refresh the page. It should say 'Connected' in the status if the connection was successful.
