Introduction
This section may look similar to how you usually set your products up in the BackOffice, but we'll be covering a few key differences when setting up the products for Online Store purposes.
What's in this article:
a) Add Product
b) Product Info
c) Online Pricing
d) Collections
e) Same Day / On-Demand Pre-Orders
Step 1:
Go to the BackOffice > Products > Add Product.
Step 2:
You’ll see 2 tabs: Basic and Online Info.
The Basic tab shows the usual product details for the product:
The Online Info tab allows you to:
- Add a product description
- Add images for this product
Typing in the product's name in BackOffice > Online Store > Store Appearance > Edit Collection (refer to the highlighted section in the image below) will automatically check for the product that was added into a Collection as a product to 'Sell Online' or to 'Sell on Beep'.
You do not need to manually select 'Sell Online' or Sell on Beep' before adding your product(s) into the Collection.
Lastly, press Save to keep the changes.
In the Product Description text field, you can add in text and images. You can even embed videos by pressing the </> button for Code View.
Regarding product images, if you’re uploading many images for a product, the first thumbnail in the list will be the main image.
Drag the image to rearrange the order, and add new images by pressing the Add Image camera icon.
You can place your product in a collection, such as Men, Women, Under RM30 Items, and also select the item as a featured product by ticking the Featured Product checkbox.
A Featured Product is a product that you wish to feature on your page, such as a best-selling item or an item that's on discount.
You can have up to 24 Featured Products displayed on your Online Store.
Tip: If you want to manage your list of Featured Products, please refer to the Featured Products section in the article here.
While you're on your 'Basic' tab on the Edit Product page, specify your Online Price here:
You can set a different price when selling online. If you want to offer a discount while showing the original price, set the discounted price in the discounted price fields.
A Collection is a category of items (like quick links) featured on the front page.
An All Collection will be added automatically and cannot be deleted or rearranged. It can only be enabled/disabled.
Head to your BackOffice > Online Store > Store Appearance; you’ll see 4 tabs:
Collection, Logo & Banner, Theme and Featured Products.
Create, search and drag to reorder collections and toggle to enable/disable collections. When you create a new collection, give it a title.
By clicking into the title of the Collections you made, you can set up some conditions for the product and specify whether your products must match All Conditions or Any Conditions.
The conditions are: Products of a Category, Products with Tags and Specific Products.
All Conditions
When you select All Conditions, you're telling the system that each and every Condition you set must be met in order for the product to appear in that Collection.
Any Condition
When you select Any Condition, you're telling the system that any of the Conditions you set will trigger the product(s) to appear in that Collection.
After that, apply your Collections to the correct Channel and Store.
Note: You are limited to 100 Collections at any one time, but we recommend having 8 Collections for easier navigation of your menu.
e) Same-Day / On-Demand Pre-Orders
We now have a toggle for same-day orders and on-demand pre-orders.
This toggle will only appear when enable pre-orders is toggled ON in:
BackOffice > Settings > Stores > Choose Your Store > Sell Online;
Scroll down to Beep Settings > TICK the Receive Pre-Orders for Beep Delivery checkbox.
By default when pre order is toggled on, both on demand and same day pre-orders are toggled on as well.
If you disable on demand orders, consumers will not be allowed to place 'immediate' orders.
If you disable same day orders, users will not be able to place same day pre-orders; they will only be able to place same day pre-orders on future days.
