You can offer special pricing or discounts to your employees (such as free or discounted meals or clothing)! In this guide, we'll explore a few ways to go about it.
Discounts the automated way
You can give your employees discounts (usually by Taking Amount Off or Taking Percentage Off).
Do also refer to our Configurable Promotions article.
You can use our promotion feature to give a 100% discount to the meals when your employees are added as customers to the transaction.
Add your employees as customers into the POS system and give them tags like 'employee'. Remember to Save!
Create a promotion for this discount. In this scenario, we'll be taking a percentage off, applicable only to Customers with Tags, so staff members with the tag 'employee' get 70% off every product served in the restaurant they work in. Save and Sync your iPad Register afterwards.
This promotion will automatically apply a 70% discount or take percentage off to the items selected:
Discounts the manual way
You can give also discounts manually from the iPad register.
Example: a plate of Fish & Chips is RM10.60.
Tap Fish & Chips and put a discount of RM2 or take RM2 off. In this example, we have chosen to take off RM2:
