Epson Printer Troubleshooting - How to Reset & Configure

How to change your Epson printer's IP address, and how to configure your Epson printer.

What You Will Learn in This Guide

  • To reset your Epson printer's IP address.

  • A step-by-step guide on configuring your printer using your iPad.


Important Notes

  • Make sure that you updated to the app's latest version; at least 2.12.1.

  • Check the direction of the paper roll inserted inside the printer.

  • Check whether the LAN cable is connected to the back of the printer.

  • Remove any cable inside the WAN port; and blue-coloured port on the back of the StoreHub ASUS router.


Change your Epson printer's IP Address

1. Disconnect the StoreHub ASUS router from your existing Internet router.

2. Turn the printer off.

3. Use a paper clip or the tip of a pen to press and hold the Network Reset button on the back of the printer.

4. While holding the Network Reset button, turn the printer on.

5. After 5 seconds, a network detail sheet will be printed out; you may release the Network Reset button.

6. The factory reset IP Address of the printer will be 192.168.192.168.

Notes: Your printer is already configured if it shows any other value in the IP address and the DHCP field states Enable or Auto.


Change the iPad IP Address to Communicate with the Router.

1. On your iPad, navigate to Settings, then tap General, tap Reset, then Reset Network Settings.

2. Then, go to Wi-Fi and connect to the StoreHub.com CloudPOS WiFi network.

Note: If you're uncertain about the Wi-Fi password, please don't hesitate to contact our customer care team via live chat.

3. Cancel the popup message, connect to the StoreHub.com CloudPOS WiFi network again, then cancel the second popup message and select Use Without Internet.

4. Tap on the circular blue ( i ) button and write down the iPad's IP Address as you'll need it later.

5. Change the iPad's IP Address, Subnet Mask and Router to match the below:

IP Address

192.168.192.188

Subnet Mask

255.255.255.0

Router

the iPad's IP Address that you wrote down earlier

Notes:

  • iOS 10: Tap on Static under IP Address.

  • iOS 11: Tap on Configure IP, select Manual under IPV4 Address, then tap Save after completing the below.



Configure the Printer

1. Open a page on your iPad's Safari browser and search for 192.168.192.168 in the URL search bar; a configuration page will appear.

2. On the configuration page, navigate to Configuration, TCP/IP then change the settings of the below fields to match their details as follows:

Get IP Address

Auto

IP Address

192.168.192.188

Subnet Mask

255.255.255.0

Default Gateway

the iPad's IP Address that you wrote down earlier

3. Tap on the Submit button.

4. Repeatedly tap on the Reset button until the printer makes a click sound.

5. On your iPad, navigate to Settings, then tap WiFi, and tap on the circular blue ( i ) button.

Notes:

  • iOS 10: Tap on DHCP under IP Address.

  • iOS 11: Tap on Configure IP, then select Automatic under IPV4 Address, then tap on the Save button.

6. On your Register, go to Settings, then tap Printer, select Search Printer and toggle Receipt Printing On.
