Introduction
Price Books is a feature to help you run promotions by offering special pricing. You’ll find Price Books very useful if you need any of the following features:
- Setting different pricing for different stores, or different tax codes for different stores
- Offering a bargain price for customers who purchase more than a specific quantity
- Rewarding specific customer groups with special pricing
Now, let’s go through each setting one by one!
NOTE: Having duplicate pricing (such as having Promotions or Price Books) can conflict with the pricing you've set for your products and prices may or may not appear correctly upon checkout.
It's a good idea to make sure that no PriceBooks, no Product pricing and no Promotions conflict with each other. In other words, please do not have any Promotions or Price Books with the same setup or criteria.
How to Set Different Pricing for Different Stores
You may need to price your items differently for different stores because of the difference in operational costs or cost of goods sold.
Step 1.
Go to Products > Price Books.
Step 2.
Click 'New Price Book'.

Step 3.
Enter a name for the Price Book.
Step 4.
Select the store for the Price Book to be applied to. If you want the same pricing in 2 or more stores, but not in all stores, you'll need to create multiple price books. Check out the instructions on duplicating price books below.
Step 5.
Click Save. A Price List should now appear.
Step 6.
Click Add Item and search for a product.
Step 7.
The current price and tax will appear. If you wish to change the tax code, you may do so. Inherited simply means that it is the original tax code of this particular item.
Step 8.
Click Save.

Step 9.
The screenshot above shows that StoreHub Cafe sells the Baking Wear Set for 40.00 (tax inclusive).
Step 10.

The screenshot below shows that customers can buy 3 sets of Baking Wear Set for the unit price of 33.00 (tax inclusive) instead of 40.00 (tax inclusive).

Sequence of the Price Books
If one of your items is listed in 2 or more Price Books, then only the highest-placed Price Book will apply. For example, there is an offer for ‘Gold’ members to purchase a Baking Wear Set for 30.00.
But there is also another on-going promotion that enables anyone to buy 3 Baking Wear Sets at 33.00 each.
In this case, when a Gold member purchases 3 Baking Wear Sets, he or she will enjoy the unit price of 30.00 because the ‘Promo for Gold Members’ Price Book is placed above the ‘Buy 3 for RM 99’ Price Book.
How to adjust the sequence of Price Books
Click and drag the ‘list’ icon to your desired placement on the list

Duplicating a Price Book
You can duplicate any of your existing Price Books. By clicking the copy button, an identical Price Book will be created. The new Price Book will have ‘copy’ at the end of its name. Now you can edit the new Price Book by:
- Changing the name of the Price Book
- Adding or removing products
- Changing the store
- Changing the customer group
- Changing the quantity and price
At the Price Books page, you’d see an existing Price Book called “Default”. This book is a list of all your existing products. If you want to set different pricing for most of your products, or set custom pricing for a set of products, you could copy this Price Book to edit them. Otherwise, just create new Price Books as instructed above.
How to Copy Price Books
Step 1.
Go to Products > Price Books.
Step 2.
Click Copy at the default price book.

Simply click on the trashcan button of the Price Book you want to delete.
